Palestinian filmmaker and producer Ihab Jadallah completed his graduate studies in Audio Visual Communication in the Spanish city of Valencia, followed by a three years scholar ship in Film Making at the Catalunya Cinematographic Studies Center, located in Barcelona. Ihab has worked as Assistant Director for several feature films shot in Palestine like “Salt of This Sea” by Annemarie Jacir. He now lives and works in Palestine, where he is a lecturer at several film schools in Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Jenin. Ihab was a jury member on several International Film Festivals, among them the Shoot Me Film Festival in the Netherlands and, Al Najah Documentary Film Festival Palestine.
Ihab was commissioned by the Ministry of Culture and Cinematheque Al Kasaba to direct the «memorandum film» on worldwide known poet Mahmoud Darwish. He has produced and directed several short films and documentaries. His work The Shooter has been very well received by critics and festivals, and he has just completed his latest work Looking For Zak, a short film shot in Palestine. As a producer Ihab Jadallah worked on his own short films and is developing Dead Sea, a fiction feature film, coproduced with French company MPM Films. The script of Dead Sea was selected for Binger Film Lab and won the Award for Development in Torino Film Lab and Amiens Screenplay Development Fund Award.
Ihab Jadallah, is the cofounder of Aanat films, a company under which he is developing a platform for the new generation of filmmakers from Palestine with the intention of developing edgy projects in search of the new wave of Palestinian Cinema.
